We strive to address Power and Industrial requirement of Nigeria by harnessing the huge coal reserves in the country in an environment friendly and sustainable manner. The company has a strong technical team comprising of qualified professionals, COMEG (Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geoscientists) members to carry out exploration and coal mining. We have over 50+ Equipment on site and 30+ under procurement stage.

Certifications

KEL has received following Certifications and approvals from the concerned Ministries in Nigeria.

Certificate to operate Environmental protection and rehabilitation programme

KEL has fulfilled the requirements of Section 119 (ii) of the Nigerian Minerals and Mining Act,2007 and Section 175 of the Nigerian Minerals and Mining Regulation, 2011 with respect to Environmental Protection and Rehabilitation Programme.

Approval of Community Development Agreement (CDA)

CDA has been signed between KEL and 6 other communities to promote sustainable and mutual rewarding benefits from Mining project.

Environmental Impact Assessment Certificate

KEL has carried out environmental impact assessment and all the regulations from Federal Ministry of Environment is strictly followed in mining operations

Federal Ministry of Environment has expressed its satisfaction with our company on environmental compliance and employment of latest technology by our company.
